Carrie Underwood at the American Music Awards!

Carrie Underwood has been added to the performance lineup for the “The 40th Anniversary American Music Awards.” The superstar joins newly announced performers P!nk and Pitbull as well as previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Linkin Park and Christina Aguilera on this year’s show which will be broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC.

Big News for Tim McGraw Fans

Tim McGraw will debut a new single from his upcoming ‘Two Lanes of Freedom’ album at the 2012 CMA Awards on Thursday night. The singer made the announcement alongside details of the new album on Tuesday morning. ‘One of Those Nights’ is part of a collection of songs that promises to cover his broadest emotional range yet. ‘Two Lanes of Freedom’ will be available in stores and online on Feb. 5, 2013.

Jason Aldean Adds Dates Already

After selling out his 2013 ‘Night Train’ Tour stop at Boston’s Fenway Park in just seven minutes this morning, CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee Jason Aldean has announced that a second show has been added to the calendar on Friday, July 12, 2013. The show will also feature GRAMMY award-winning female vocalist Miranda Lambert, and special guests Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett. Aldean is the first country artist to ever headline the iconic ballpark, and this morning’s sell-out was the quickest in venue history.

George Strait on People Country magazine

The King has spoken! In his first interview in five years, George Strait talks to People Country magazine about his decision to retire from touring after his next trek, The Cowboy Rides Away, concludes. The notoriously private superstar entertainer also revealed plans for another album after his touring ends, and described the apprehension that led up to the decision to make this his last tour.

“I had second thoughts about it, and third thoughts,” says the 60-year-old. “Walking up on stage is still so much fun for me. Such a thrill … there’s nothing like it. I’ll miss that.”

Taylor Swift’s Red Tour come to Sacramento!

Taylor Swift announced tonight that she will launch a North American stadium and arena tour in early 2013 in support of her blockbuster new album, Red. Taylor made the special announcement in partnership with ABC News on tonight’s primetime TV special “All Access Nashville with Katie Couric – A Special Edition of 20/20.” At Taylor’s request, every show will include tickets priced at under $50. Sacramento’s tickets will go on sale on November 16th, and on-sale information is available now at www.taylorswift.com and www.abcnews.com.

Sugarland NOT Breaking up…silly

Over the past few months, there has been much speculation about the future of Sugarland. As members Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush wrapped up their In Your Hands tour in August, and Jennifer announced the upcoming birth of her first child, rumors began to surface that the pair would be splitting up.

“Jennifer and I are not finished making records. We know that,” Kristian confirms to The Boot. “We’re excited that this a great time to take a little bit of a breather because she’s got to figure out being a mom. We’ve been on the road for a very long time, so there’s no reason we shouldn’t take a little time off.
